Consider a Gift of Residual Interest
A Gift of a Residual Interest allows a donor to make an irrevocable gift of real estate, typically in a primary residence or a vacation cottage, receive a donation receipt and retain the use of that property during his/her lifetime. That is, a donor may give his/her residence but continue to live there. However, you remain responsible for maintaining the property that ultimately will go to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
