ANNOUNCEMENT

FRIENDS FOUNDATION NAMES NEW PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, we are pleased to announce that Frances LeBlanc has accepted to join the Friends Foundation as our next President & Chief Executive Officer.

Frances’ hiring follows a thorough National search in conjunction with KBRS and she is joining the Friends after leading Hospice Southeast New Brunswick as their CEO for the past 2.5 years. During Frances’ time with Hospice SENB, she was successful in securing new funding to ensure the organization’s ongoing viability, building a healthy, engaged, operational work environment with staff, and working with the board and staff in developing strategic priorities that will guide Hospice SENB going forward. Prior to joining Hospice SENB, Frances held senior management positions with the New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island Chiropractors Associations and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

To this role, Frances brings a strong background in community and stakeholder relations, advocacy, human resource management, risk mitigation and fund raising. As a leader, she is recognized for her exceptional listening skills and collaborative relationship building skills, empowering her staff to achieve positive results.

Frances obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree (specialization in psychology) from the Université de Moncton, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic in Toronto and Masters of Public Policy, Administration and Law from York University. Frances is and has been involved in numerous boards and organizations, including Salvus Clinic, Greater Moncton’s Women’s Progress Club, Shelter Movers, Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders, College Communautaire de NouveauBrunswick, Give Your Heart To Beaverbrook, and Omista Credit Union, to name a few. Most recently Frances was the recipient of the Phenomenal Woman Award with Business Professional Women, the Queen Elizabeth 11 Platinum Jubilee Medal from the Province of NB, and Greater Moncton’s Top 20 under 40 with the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton.

Frances will join the Friends Foundation starting on November 18th and is looking forward to working closely with the staff and the board, the management and staff of The Moncton Hospital, and with the Foundation’s generous donors. The Board would also like to thank Jacqueline Bloom, CFRE, for her contributions as interim President and CEO over the past four months. Jacqueline will continue to oversee the Cancer Support Program which the Friends and CHU Dumont Foundations are in partnership with Wellspring Canada.

Please join us in welcoming Frances to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation! We look forward to her leadership as we continue our important work to inspire our communities to transform healthcare and change lives

Kind regards,

Shane Esson
Board Chair
